St. Leo Thanksgiving Meal at New Covenant Center 2024
Instructions for Food Donations
FOOD PREPARATION/NOTES:
- TURKEYS – 15-21 lb. turkeys should be unstuffed, COOKED, either carved or uncarved.
- STUFFING PEPPERIDGE FARM/ARNOLD – COOKED–Each pan should be 2x the recipe on the bag (2 – 12oz bags of stuffing).
- STRING BEAN CASSEROLE – COOKED -Each pan should be 2x the recipe as described here: https://www.mccormick.com/frenchs/recipes/salads-sides/frenchs-green-bean-casserole
- PIES – Should be 8-9” pies – either Apple or Pumpkin, home-baked or store-bought.
- CRANBERRY SAUCE – 14 oz. can of jellied cranberry sauce
- APPLE CIDER – 1 gallon cold plastic container, any brand
DROP-OFF:
At St. Leo between Saturday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 26 – Cranberry sauce, corn muffins, pies, clementines, onion rings, broth can be dropped off outside the St. Leo kitchen on table marked “NCC Thanksgiving.” Apple cider and whipped cream can be placed in the refrigerator. Alternatively, items can be brought to NCC on Wednesday, November 27 (see below).
At New Covenant Center on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27 between 10:00am-3:00pm – Turkeys, stuffing, string bean casserole should be dropped off on New Covenant Center, 174 Richmond Hill Avenue, Stamford. Please park in the rear parking lot off of Fairfield Avenue. Donations may be left on the cart outside or dropped off in the NCC kitchen. Please enter NCC through the brown door marked “NCH Donation Drop Off and Volunteer Entrance”.
